Project Manager
Wayne Cross
Wayne Cross discovered his penchant for construction as a 12-year-old when he helped his uncle build a front porch on his grandmother's house. After that experience, he began saving money so he could buy his own set of tools and eventually landed an after-school job working for a contractor who specialized in multi-family projects.
As a professional, Cross began his career in the capital improvement maintenance department with a large developer of apartment homes. In his position, he dealt with a host of post construction problems, from foundation issues to mechanical and structural concerns. As many of the sites he worked on were 10 and 20 years old, he learned first-hand about the importance of proper construction management and gained insight into areas that need to be addressed before and during the construction process.
Today, Wayne Cross shares his experience with The Providence Group's builder team, taking projects from inception to completion. He focuses his efforts on all parts of a home to ensure that every component works together to create a strong and reliable structure. He derives great joy from studying the intricacies of design and construction, making sure that the elements that are hidden after construction, such as the foundation, are as dependable as the elements that homeowners see every day.
Cross and his wife of 22 years, Anne, reside with their three teenage children, Emily, Lori and Caleb. Together, the family often participates in church-related and outdoor activities.
