Pete Jolly

Pete Jolly is a life long resident of Atlanta.  He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and holds a degree in civil engineering.  Prior to entering the real estate field, Pete combined his interest in engineering and Airplanes by working as a Flight Test and Structural Aircraft Test Engineer.

His professional real estate career began in 1965 when he joined Bonner Realty, the sales arm of Cousins Properties.  His initial responsibilities included sales management and marketing for both speculative homes and developed lots.  This lateral responsibility involved wide contact with Homebuilders throughout the area and was aimed at not only the sale of lots but in assisting builders with their overall business plans including financing.  Largely because of Pete’s energy and keen ability in the areas of sales and marketing, builder relations, product design and over-all management skills, Cousins/Bonner quickly grew into the largest residential development/sales organization in the metropolitan  Atlanta area.  As a consequence, Pete’s responsibilities expanded to include all facets of real estate from land acquisition and development to final sales.  His unique interest became the design and implementation of communities rather than just subdivisions.  This naturally led Pete to focus more on land planning and development and launched the next phase of his real estate career.

This shift in interest to community design and development came about at the same time that Pete’s son Warren graduated from Auburn University and joined Pete in the family business.  Through their combined efforts the business which initially focused on land acquisition and development continued to grow and prosper.  Initially the business was aimed at development and the sale of lots to other builders including both local builders and national builders.  In all cases the emphasis was upon innovative development design to include communities with living, work and play combined.  Over time as these communities evolved the next step was to include a home building division, which today is called The Providence Group.

Today Pete’s time is spent consulting as needed with the land development and real estate sales divisions of Jolly Development.  Innovative solutions and approaches to the development process along with quality home construction continue to be a hallmark of Jolly Development and The Providence Group.   Pete believes trust and accountability for the Jolly communities along with costumer appreciation are primary contributors to Jolly’s success.

Pete resides in Atlanta with his wife, Jennifer.  He has three grandchildren, Kendall, Kayla andCole.
