Division Construction Manager

"I was 21 years old before I knew there was any other way to make a living other than the construction business...and thought that everyone drove Ford pick-ups."

He is a graduate of Mississippi State University, with engineering, business administration and accounting as the basis for his Bachelor of Science degree.

From there, Wimpy worked in his family's construction company, a major factor in the industry of the area. In the early '70s, homebuilding became the focus of his attention, where he built in Mississippi and Florida. In the early '80s, when construction hit an all time low, the Madison County Chamber of Commerce named Wimpy "Businessman of the Year". He was able to achieve great success where others struggled to make ends meet.

Wimpy brought his abilities to the Atlanta area in the late '80s, where he continued to develop his expertise in homebuilding. Joining a large national builder in the area, Wimpy won many awards with the corporation; the one he's most proud of is the Customer Satisfaction Gold Award for the Southeast Region of the United States. "Some of my best friends are folks I've built houses for" he says with pride. 

The Providence Group successfully procured Wimpy in December of 2002, where he has accomplished much while being a Project Manager on several developments. He brings experience, knowledge and good old-fashioned hard work to each development.

Wimpy resides in Dunwoody, Ga. with his wife, Jan.  He has two children, Kevin and Jodi, and four grandsons.
